The Defence Science Organisation was first setup in 1972 by the then Defence Minister, the late Mr. Goh Keng Swee. It serves to continuously keep our defence up-to-date and future-proof our defence systems.
What appears to be the logo of the organisation and a wind tunnel to test aerodynamics is portrayed on the First Local stamp.
On the Second Local stamp are military hardware either fully developed locally or improved upon to meet our requirements. DSO has been increasing focused on unmanned vehicles in recent years.
The 60c stamps appears to be cybersecurity, since our military is in a digital age.
The next 60c stamp features ways to deal with chemical, biological and radiological threats.
On the 90c stamp, a robot in a thinking position is featured, giving the impression that the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence with defence systems may be possible in the future.
Lastly, on the next 90c stamp are a pair of satellites, probably used for surveillance purpose and intelligence gathering.
